Annual Leave

Paid vacation time an employee is entitled to each year, often expressed in days or weeks.

Annual leave is the paid holiday allowance an employee receives over a leave year. Outside the US it's the most common term for paid vacation, and entitlement is often set by law or contract.

For part-time and irregular-hours staff, annual leave is usually pro-rated so it reflects the time actually worked.

Example: A full-time employee with 25 days of annual leave who books a 5-day trip has 20 days left.

In Orvella: Orvella supports per-employee schedules and pro-rata accrual so everyone gets the correct entitlement.
