Accrual Cap

A maximum balance beyond which an employee stops accruing more leave.

An accrual cap limits how much leave can be banked. Once the cap is reached, accrual pauses until the employee uses some time, bringing the balance back below the limit.

Caps encourage people to take time off and control the company's leave liability.

Example: With a 200-hour cap, an employee at 200 hours stops accruing until they take leave.

In Orvella: Set accrual caps and carryover limits per policy; Orvella enforces them automatically.
