Screenshot Monitoring

Periodically capturing screenshots of an employee's screen during tracked work, with disclosure.

Screenshot monitoring captures images of a worker's screen at intervals to give managers context on work performed. Done responsibly it's transparent, disclosed to staff, and limited to work time.

Best practice captures titles and aggregate activity — never keystrokes or passwords — and makes the policy clear to employees.

Example: A tracker that takes one screenshot every 10 minutes across each monitor is doing screenshot monitoring.

In Orvella: Orvella Time captures multi-monitor screenshots per a per-person policy (off by default), visible to managers in HR.
