Approval Workflow
The defined path a leave request follows to be approved — for example, manager then admin.
An approval workflow is the sequence of approvals a time-off request goes through. A common pattern is manager-first, then an admin for final sign-off when policy requires it.
Well-designed workflows give approvers context (balances, coverage) and record every decision for audit.
Example: A request routes to the employee's manager, then to HR for final approval.
In Orvella: Orvella routes requests manager → admin with one setting, with coverage warnings and a full decision log.
